CALL TO ORDER

I. CITIZEN COMMUNICATION

  1. Les Poole, Gladstone – misc. issues including Gladstone/Oak Grove library, and road funding. Board Discussion
  2. Baldwin VanderBile, Chair of Oak Grove Community Council – concerns regarding governance of Gladstone/Oak Grove library.
    Board Discussion regarding the Library issue

Chair Ludlow introduced a short video that was produced by the Cable Division, as part of our outreach around the County’s need for employment lands. It reiterates why employment land is so important to this Commission and this County.

The Board will recess at the Board of County Commissioners and convene as the Estacada Area County Service District for Library Services for the next item.

II. PUBLIC HEARINGS

  1. Board Order No. 2016-09 Adopting the Findings of Fact and Plan of Dissolution for the Estacada Area County Service District for Library Services Chris Storey, County Counsel presented the staff report.
  2. Chair Ludlow opened the public hearing and asked if anyone would like to speak.

    1. Michele Kinnamon, Estacada Public Library – spoke in support.

    MOTION:
    Commissioner Smith: I move we approve the Board Order Adopting the Findings of Fact and Plan of Dissolution for the Estacada Area County Service District for Library Services.
    Commissioner Schrader: Second.
    Board Discussion
    Clerk calls the poll.
    Commissioner Smith: Aye.
    Commissioner Schrader: Aye.
    Commissioner Savas: Aye.
    Chair Ludlow: Aye – the motion passes 4-0.

    The Board will adjourn as the Estacada Area County Service District for Library Services and re-convene as the Board of County Commissioners for the remainder of the meeting.
