2009 Oregon Main Street Annual Conference
The Oregon Main Street program provides assistance, training, technical services, and resources to communities interested in preserving, revitalizing, and establishing their downtown commercial districts.
The program is a locally driven process following the Main Street Approach™ which is a practical and comprehensive model that capitalizes on the unique assets of each downtown. The Oregon Main Street goal is to build high quality, livable, and sustainable communities that will grow Oregon’s economy.
This year’s annual conference is a two day event hosted at Marylhurst University in Lake Oswego. The conference provides “Resources and Roadmaps for Main Street Revitalization” to Oregon Main Street communities. Sessions will include topics such as volunteer development, Brownfields, utilizing technology, and business retention and recruitment.
