We adapt the focus and length of the trainings to fit the needs of the trainees and host agency. The three main curricula are:
- Conflict Resolution Trainings
to build skills in managing and resolving conflicts among peers, at work, at school, and with family members.
- Conflict Management Trainings
provided at schools and agencies for small groups who wish to improve their skills in dealing with conflicts. Topics include identifying sources of conflict, anger management, conflict styles, listening, finding the “middle ground,” and exploring options for resolving conflicts.
- Peer Mediation Trainings
are offered to schools that are beginning or continuing peer mediation programs in their schools. On a limited basis, Resolution Services will send one adult and one teen trainer into the school to train a group of peer mediators. A hands-on model of peer mediation will be provided and modeled, with further opportunity for coaching of peer mediators and program guidance.
