Family Violence Coordinating Council to meet Feb. 28 in Oregon City

The Family Violence Coordinating Council will host its next meeting from noon to 1 p.m. at the Department of Human Services building at 315 S. Beavercreek Road in Oregon City.

This month’s meeting focuses on systems gap identification. Meeting members will discuss specific issues of concern in services and response to violence in the community.

The council has a quarterly rotation of meetings. The first month of each quarter has a coordinated community response focus, the second focuses on systems gap identification, while the third meeting is dedicated to training.

The council’s mission is to provide an interdisciplinary forum for developing, implementing, and assessing a coordinated response to domestic violence and other types of abuse in Clackamas County. The council is part of a county-wide effort to provide for the safety and well-being of survivors and accountability of offenders to reduce the incidence of domestic violence.

Regular attendees of the meetings include Clackamas Women’s Services, Resolution Services, District Attorney’s Victim Assistance Program, the District Attorney’s office, batterer’s intervention programs, Community Corrections, Legal Aid Services of Oregon, Children’s Center, Clackamas County Juvenile Department, A Safe Place Family Justice Center, amongst others.

On the fourth Tuesday of each month, join the Leaders for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Council

The Leaders for Equity Diversity and Inclusion Council (LEDIC) is inviting the public to its monthly meetings, which are held on the fourth Tuesday of every month.

The council is a volunteer body appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to act as a liaison on matters relating to equity, diversity and Inclusion.

The agenda includes council business, public comment and discussion on how to advance equity and inclusion in Clackamas County.

The council meets the fourth Tuesday of the month from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Development Services Building (DSB) 150 Beavercreek Road Suite 304.
