Water Environment Services Director, Greg Geist, will provide an update on a pressing issue affecting 150-thousand Clackamas County residents: a shortage of wastewater treatment capacity for customers in the county's two largest service districts. Mr. Geist will explain the causes and seriousness of the capacity shortage problem, which poses a threat to public health, the environment, and economic development. During his presentation, Mr. Geist will also describe the best and most cost-effective solution, which involves a valuable partnership, and discuss the progress already made on the critical path toward solving the problem.
The Clackamas CPO and North Clackamas Citizens Association CPO merged, effective January 2013. Residents, landowners or business and industrial interests located within the new CPO boundaries (generally south of Harmony Road and Sunnybrook Avenue; north of the Clackamas River; and from the Oatfield Ridge area to generally SE 142 Avenue) are considered members and especially invited to attend. A detailed map of our area boundaries may be found at the county’s citizen involvement website.
