Chris Robinson opened the meeting at 7:00 PM with 45 people available.
The minutes from the 2014 Annual Meeting were approved as read. Treasurers Report balances $23.50 and $577.00
Helen Lewis discussed plans for the 2015 Street of Dreams at the Highlands in regards to the use of shuttle buses and parking. The Riverwest Church on Country Club Rd. and 4000 Kruse Way Place will be sites used. Goodall Rd. will be included in the route. All event parking will be prohibited within a reasonably distance of the site and could be extended if necessary. A block party for event sponsors will occur on July 29th. Jessie Nemic of J T Smith was also available to answer questions.
Kevin Mead spoke about the neighborhood barbeque to be held at the Street of Dreams site on August 9th from 11AM to 2 PM. It will be funded by a $2,300.00 grant from the City of Lake Oswego with participation by the Northwest Natural Street of Dreams. A mailing will be sent in July. Heidi Schrimsher of the friends of Woodmont Park and Ryan Stee of the City of Lake Oswego spoke of future plans for the park. A application for a grant from the city to fund 2 information Kiosks is being considered. Plans for Woodmont Park are scheduled to begin in November with a visioning process after plans for 2 other natural parks are completed. Restrooms, pathways and ball fields are being considered. Neighbors are encouraged to be involved. Jan Wertz of the City of Lake Oswego also spoke about the many activities that are available through the recreation department.
Sarah Seldon of the City of Lake Oswego Planning Department talked about Neighborhood planning options for Forest Highlands. A grant to fund a survey has been approved according to Kevin Mead. It will be conducted sometime this summer and will probably be available online and by paper form. A zoning overlay is possible if residents approve.
Randy Arthur of the city's Planning Commission gave an overview of the projects being worked on. They include substandard lots in a number of inner city lots, sensitive lands, related issues and Southwest Employment Area. Members of the commission also form the Commission on Citizen Involvement.
Chris Robinson announced that there would be a presentation on Neighborhood Preparedness.
The present slate of officers with the election of Scott Bullard as Co-Chair was approved by voice vote. One Co-Chair position remains open.
