Public Swimming Pools & Spas

Environmental Health issues licenses and inspects public pools and spas in Clackamas County. We provide plan reviews and construction inspections for approval of new or alterations of public pools using Oregon Administrative Rules.

The major focus of swimming pool inspections is on safety, including pool supervision, lifeguard requirements, lifesaving equipment and its use. Our inspectors also check chemical treatment and the proper operation and maintenance of filtration equipment.
