Mission Statement

The mission of the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is to improve the health and safety of communities across the country by organizing and utilizing public health, medical and other volunteers.

About the Clackamas Medical Reserve Corps

The Medical Reserve Corps is a community-based volunteer group of licensed health professionals who want to donate their time and expertise to prepare for and respond to emergencies and promote healthy living throughout the year.  MRC volunteers include (but are not limited to) nurses, physicians, pharmacists, dentists, and epidemiologists, to serve in roles that supplement existing emergency and public health resources.

The Clackamas County MRC program is housed under Clackamas County Health Services and Clackamas County Emergency Management. Daily functions of the MRC are overseen by the Clackamas County Health Services Emergency Preparedness Coordinator. The MRC coordinator works closely with other county and regional personnel for the establishment and maintenance of the unit including: Tri-County Health Officer, Director of Emergency Management, EMS Administrator, Public Health Director and the Regional Cities Readiness Initiative Coordinator.
