Homebuyers and Homeowners

Community Development supports strong communities by helping people interested in purchasing a home or repairing an existing home.

We work with Oregon-licensed lenders to make home ownership more affordable.  Our goal is to promote affordability by providing some of the cash needed to purchase the home and, therefore, reduce the buyer's monthly payments. Check out the links to the CHAP, NSP3 and NCRA for details. Compare the downpayment assistance programs.

We also provide loans and grants to help low-income homeowners pay for needed and critical repairs.  Our goal is to eliminate unhealthy or hazardous conditions, eiminate barriers to accessibility, improve safety for persons with physical disabilities and incorporate energy conservation measures that reduce energy costs and usage.
