Youth Services

Community Solutions for Clackamas County (CSCC) offers specialized youth services to the community. Click on the title below for a description of the program.

Project Payback

CSCC administers Project Payback, an effort which involves Clackamas County youth who are being served in the juvenile justice system and owe victim restitution. CSCC develops work opportunities throughout the county by contracting with local government entities to provide blackberry removal, roadside cleanup and general beautification of property. The revenue from these contracts goes directly to the victim, once the youth has successfully completed her/his community service time. A new addition to the list of Project Payback services is graffiti removal from public buildings. The youth work in crews alongside an CSCC crew leader, who monitors their work. The CSCC crew leader also conducts a monthly job search class which teaches the youth how to get and keep a job. This program has been responsible for creating opportunities for over a hundred youth who owe restitution to repay their victims. Project Payback is made possible by a strong working partnership with the Clackamas County Juvenile Department.
