Clackamas County Dog Services
Clackamas County Dog Services will not be open for adoption viewing on December 21, 22 and 23, 2011. All other services will be available these three days. The closure will allow Dog Services Staff to complete some much needed projects to keep the Shelter ready to continue welcoming the community and the dogs needing care.
We will be open as normal Saturday, December 24, 2011.

Then we’ve got just what you’re after – and you
won’t have to shop for days and days to find it.
New licensing incentives in place
If your dog is microchipped and you provide the number, you get a discount on your dog’s license of $5 per year for the life of your dog.
If your dog is certified as a Canine Good Citizen, you get a 25% discount on your dog’s license per year for the life of your dog, you must provide proof of certification.
If your dog comes to the shelter and is currently vaccinated and licensed, and you reclaim it within two business days, the first impound fee of $45 will be wai ved (daily boarding fees would still apply $20 daily). Subsequent impound fees would apply if the dog arrives at the shelter again in the same year.
If your dog is currently licensed/vaccinated/microchipped and is picked up by a Dog Officer will return the dog home and secure it at home, if they can.
Being vaccinated and licensed and microchipped could be your pet’s “Free Ride Home” the first time they are at the shelter or found off of your property.

Citizens may also refer to the yellow pages for small animal, varmint, rodent complaints - there are a number of pest control companies in the Portland metro area. They all charge for services. We cannot recommend any particular business.
