Early and Absentee Ballots

Oregon uses a Vote-By-Mail system, which means a ballot is automatically sent to all registered voters who are eligible to vote in an election.  You only need to request an early or absentee ballot if your mailing address can change temporarily or you will be away from home during the election.

You may request an Early Ballot if:

  1. You are registered to vote in Clackamas County Oregon.
  2. You need your ballot earlier than standard mailing.*
    * Early Ballots are available 45 days ahead of an Election

Early Ballot Request (must be printed and mailed, emailed, or faxed)

You may request an Absentee Ballot if:

Absentee Ballot Request (must be printed and mailed, emailed, or faxed)

You may request an Absentee or Early Ballot from us either in person, by mail, email or by fax 503-655-8461.

Remember, your voted ballot must be received by Clackamas County Elections or an official ballot drop box no later than 8 p.m. on the day of the election. The postmark does not count.
