Military and Overseas Voters

Register to Vote

  1. Eligible voters may register online​ with an Oregon Driver License or state ID from the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
  2. The Federal Voting Assistance Program’s online system does not require an Oregon driver license. 

Eligible voters must be registered 21 days before an election in order to cast a ballot.

Voting your Ballot

Ballots will be mailed to military and overseas voters at least 45 days before Election Day. Ballots may be accessed on My Vote and filled in with Oregon's online ballot-marking tool.

Military and overseas voters have a number of ways to return their ballot:

*The option of returning your ballot via “fax” or email is available to members (and family members) of the military and U.S. citizens living overseas. Your faxed or emailed ballot must be received by the Elections Division no later than 8 p.m. Pacific Time on Election Day. The faxed or emailed ballot package must include:

  1. Voted ballot
  2. Signed identification envelope
  3. Completed and signed SEL 531 form

Voters’ Pamphlets are posted to the website as soon as they are prepared for printing.
