DISCUSSION ITEMS

-Intersection of State Hwy 43 and Willamette Falls drive group discussion. Safety and traffic concerns with the intersection. The issue is on City of West Linn master plan and is on the radar.

-Discussed aggressive and distracted driving and how the brochure is presented. Chris Larsen to reach out to distracteddriving.org reaching out to speak with high schools in the county.

2016 2nd Quarter Fatal Summary: Sadly there has been a spike in crashes recently, and now we are at 27 for the year, as of 8/22. Clackamas County has exceeded the total this year vs. 2015.

County Fair: Safety Street was visited by over 1,400 kids, which is down from last year. This was with 3 days of shutting down in the afternoon due to hot weather. The setup of all the booths were great and the ambulance was a good feature this year. Suggestion for next year is to update the wheel to appeal to the younger age children (3-6). Also, name tags, t-shirts and English drivers manuals.

Drive to Zero/Fuel Tax: Outreach and education. Reviewed materials for gas tax. Planned for paving and signing improvements. Reviewed the breakdown on what each city will get if approved:

Ellen Rogalin is our community outreach contact, if there are any questions.

Rosemont Trail: Columbia Land Trust is moving forward with easements to convert from a ped path to a bike/ped path. Pavement markings and signing will be modified. County and West Linn will split the costs. County to pay about $5,000. Planned to be completed spring 2017.

Danielson’s Safety Fair: The trailer will be there with all materials. Mike will have a pop-up tent, but bring chairs. Laura to confirm trailer key, trailer time arrival and provide name tags.

TSAP Update: The grant application is in to ODOT and on schedule for an RFP on 10/01. TSC will be recruited for public involvement and reviewing submittals.
