Vision Planning with the Fair Board
The Clackamas County Event Center, often referred to as the County Fairgrounds, has provided service to the community for a wide range of events for over 100 years. While it continues many proud traditions, the need for reinvestment is apparent in its facilities. Developing a vision for the Center will help guide future investments to better support the Center in its fulfillment of its mission.
The Fair Board is requesting your participation in it’s visioning process. As they develop the first phase of a future vision, they are hosting two community meetings to share some initial ideas and listen and learn from the community.
A short presentation will be made at the beginning of each hour during the meetings. Fair Board members will be on hand to listen and speak with you. Information about the facility will be displayed. As this is a listening style workshop each participant will be given a dialogue form to provide input. Please stop by any time during the meeting times and help us all learn more together.
Dialogue with the Fair Board members, Dan Sandberg (President), Darrell Ricksger (Vice President), Ron Oberg, Rhonda Dimick, and Raeline Kammeyer; as well as the Event Center Director, Laurie Bothwell. The Board is appointed by the Clackamas County Board of County Commissioners.
The meetings are Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 2pm-4pm and Thursday, November 21 from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Clackamas County Event Center, 694 NE 4th Avenue, Canby in the 4-H Exhibit Hall.
Come and help us develop the vision that will enable the Clackamas County Event Center to continue to provide valued services to the community.
If you have any questions, please call Laurie Bothwell, Event Center Director at 503-266-1136.
