Library District Advisory Committee Meeting Agenda

1. Self-introduction of all Committee Members and Guests

This is an opportunity to get acquainted with each of the members of the LDAC committee. Talk about your personal background and live experience, the role of the Library in your life, activity on the Library Board, what you like to read and what you anticipate contributing on the LDAC Board. Since we will be working together as board, getting to know each other is important.

2. Approval of the February 11, 2016 Minutes

3. New Business

  1. Introduction, information sharing, and Q & A with Clackamas County Administrator Don Krupp and Clackamas County Counsel Chris Storey.
  2. Role of LDAC representatives as a communication link between LDAC, Library Boards, and Libraries.
    Group discussion on how we best accomplish this role

4. Unfinished Business

  1. Discussion of City Allocations to Library Budgets
    For background on the issue, see these documents:
    1. “Allocated city expenses charged to the libraries”, which includes 1) the review of the issue prepared earlier for LDAC, 2) how allocations work, and 3) a proposed solution to the issue.
    2. Spreadsheet prepared for LDAC earlier.

5. Library Reports

Each representative has an opportunity to report to the Committee any significant happenings in his or her Library Board and city library since our last meeting.

6. Discuss proposed schedule (2nd Tuesdays) and next meeting date (next 2nd Tuesday is May 10, 2016).

7. Discuss preferred meeting location(s). Feedback on Clackamas County Red Soils campus?
