North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District

North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD), Oregon, a service district of Clackamas County government, offers about 50 parks and greenspaces to about 100,000 residents in the north portion of the county.

Stretching from the Clackamas River on the south to the Multnomah County border on the north, the Willamette River on the west and reaching to the 1979 urban growth boundary on the east, NCPRD includes the City of Milwaukie, the City of Happy Valley and unincorporated areas. NCPRD lies just southeast of the greater Portland, Oregon, metropolitan area.

Along with natural beauties like the 45-acre North Clackamas Park in Milwaukie and the 190-acre Mt. Talbert Nature Park just off Interstate 205, the District also offers North Clackamas Aquatic Park with water slides, a lap pool, a kiddie pool and 400,000 gallons of fun; the Milwaukie Center serving all of North Clackamas County; recreation, special events and classes; a Healthy Living guide full of recreation and educational activities; a growing list of playing fields and walking paths, the coming six-mile Trolley Trail biking and pedestrian path and more.

Headquartered in the Development Services Building in Oregon City, NCPRD is managed by a director and staff, with an 11-member volunteer advisory board of citizens from throughout the District. NCPRD's Board of Directors is the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners in Oregon City.
