In keeping with Clackamas County’s commitment to promoting and fostering a workplace that values diversity and inclusion, a Diversity Advisory Council (DAC) was established in 2010. The DAC is an advisory council comprised of employees who work with the County’s Diversity Manager to champion activities and programs that support diversity at the County. The DAC includes employees from a cross section of County departments and is constituted to do two things on behalf of all County employees:
To recommend in an advisory capacity diversity goals and activities that promote and foster a workplace culture welcoming of diversity.
To serve as an advocate and champion regarding the purpose and benefits diversity brings to the County’s workplace and operations.
You will hear much more about the DAC programs when you begin employment. We hope you will take part in the various offerings such as brown bag luncheons, diversity trainings, and the annual NW Public Employees Diversity Conference.
