Proposal: The Applicants requested a Planning Director Interpretation under Subsection 1305.03 of the Zoning and Development Ordinance (ZDO) to determine whether the keeping of ferrets for the purpose of providing shelter is a primary use in the RRFF-5 zoning district under Subsection 309.03(B)(3) of the ZDO as a general farm use, specifically as the feeding, breeding, selling, and management of a fur-bearing animal. The Planning Director issued the Interpretation, finding that the keeping of ferrets as outlined above is not a primary use in the RRFF-5 District. The Planning Director’s decision has been appealed. The final interpretation on this issue will apply throughout the RRFF-5 District, not solely to the subject property, Oregon City area.
