Free green business certification workshop for landscape firms

Clackamas County Water Environment Services and the Clackamas County River Water Providers are hosting a free workshop on February 22, 2012, in Happy Valley for landscape businesses to learn about the EcoBiz certification program.

"EcoBiz is a unique, no-cost program available to landscapers in Oregon," said Debra Taevs of the EcoBiz program. "Certification gives you an edge in reaching out to customers that care about the health of their properties and the people that live or work on and around them."

The workshop includes information about how a company can become certified and the benefits of certification. Certified businesses will also be on hand to discuss their most innovative green landscape practices, and how this program has helped to protect the public’s health.

The "Eco-Logical" Business Program is a joint project of the Pollution Prevention Outreach Team (Portland, Gresham, Clackamas and Washington counties, Clean Water Services, Metro and the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality).
