Clackamas County will begin this spring to replace the Carver Bridge that carries the Springwater Road over the Clackamas River in Clackamas County. The bridge will be replaced in its current location. A detour bridge will be built next to the current bridge to allow traffic to keep moving through the area during the 2.5 years of construction.
The new bridge is expected to be completely finished by November 2014. It will be a two-lane bridge, with sidewalks and bike paths on both sides.
The county has scheduled a public meeting to discuss the project details on Thursday, May 10, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at the Carver School, 16077 SE Highway 224, Damascus. There will be an informal presentation at 6:15 p.m.
