Growing Solar workshop available for Clackamas County residents May 9; site assessment sign-up open through May 15

A free 90-minutes workshop about solar power and the options to purchase, lease and finance a solar system is available to Clackamas County residents on Wednesday, May 9, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Rolling Hills Community Church, 3550 SW Borland Rd., Tualatin.

County residents are also invited to register online (www.growingsolar.org) or by phone (503-406-8381) by Tuesday, May 15, or at the workshop for a free site assessment. Pricing may vary depending on roof composition, structural considerations, structural considerations, system options or other legal and safety requirements.

The workshop, the last in a series offered this spring, and site assessment are part of Growing Solar Clackamas County, a grassroots movement created to help county residents and property owners tap into the savings that can be provided by solar power.

The Growing Solar steering committee has vetted two Oregon contractors, LiveLight Energy and Sunlight solar for all PV design and installations. The contractors use panels manufactured in Hillsboro by SolarWorld, the largest and most experienced U.S. manufacturer of high-performance crystalling silicon solar panels.
