Citizens interested in serving on the North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD) Advisory Board are encouraged to apply for one position on the board that meets monthly. The extended application deadline for the recruitment is Tuesday, July 10, or until filled. The vacancy is for a district resident who lives east of I-205 and outside of the City of Happy Valley.
Clackamas County Commissioners will give final approval to the appointments.
The District Advisory Board (DAB) makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding NCPRD’s designs, plans, development and operation of parks in the district. The DAB meets every second Wednesday of the month at 4 p.m. at the North Clackamas Aquatic Park.
Desired skills include an ability to think globally and to be a part of public process, a capacity to problem-solve and to work constructively within a group setting. The parks district stretches from the Multnomah County line on the north to the Willamette River on the west, the Clackamas River on the south and to the eastern Happy Valley border.
