The public is welcome to attend and comment at the next meeting of Clackamas County's Transportation System Plan Public Advisory Committee (PAC). The meeting will be held from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27, in room 115 of the County's Development Services Building, 150 Beavercreek Rd., Oregon City.
The PAC, made up of residents from throughout Clackamas County, is advising the county on transportation system improvements needed in unincorporated areas of the county over the next 20 years. The focus at the Nov. 27 meeting will be on rural and countywide transportation system policies, and the process for prioritizing potential transportation projects.
In the two-year TSP update process, the county is reviewing plans and policies for various forms of transportation – roads, transit, walking, bicycling, rail, air, freight, waterways and pipelines – in unincorporated Clackamas County. When complete in late 2013, the updated transportation system plan will specify priority transportation projects for the next 20 years and address how those projects and maintenance of the current system can be funded.
More information about the project, information on upcoming meetings and opportunities for input are available on the project website at www.clackamascountytsp.com.
