The Board of County Commissioners is holding two public hearings on the county's proposed Transportation System Plan (TSP) before taking final action in December.
The hearings will be held in the Public Services Building, 2051 Kaen Rd., Oregon City at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, and 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11. The doors will open 15 minutes before each hearing to give people a chance to sign up to speak.
Comments from the general public will be limited to three minutes each and people are asked not to speak at both hearings unless they have new information to provide each time. Speakers are asked to also submit their comments in writing.
The public is encouraged to comment on the proposed TSP at one of the public hearings or by submitting comments in writing, no later than noon Dec. 11, to Martha Fritzie at firstname.lastname@example.org or 150 Beavercreek Rd., Oregon City, OR, 97045.
The Clackamas County Planning Commission recommended approval of the proposed TSP, with amendments on Nov. 4. The recommendation was forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners for its consideration.
The proposed TSP includes transportation projects needed throughout unincorporated Clackamas County over the next 20 years and related policies. The TSP was developed over the past two years with extensive public outreach and the leadership of a 22-member Public Advisory Committee.
Once adopted, the TSP will be part of the Comprehensive Plan, and Zoning and Development Ordinance (ZDO). More information is available on the project website at www.clackamascountytsp.com.
