Clackamas County offers free class for women impacted by domestic violence
Anyone who has been emotionally or physically abused by a current or former intimate partner, the Women’s Empowerment Project (WEP) can help you break the cycle.
Sponsored by Clackamas County Community Corrections, WEP is specifically designed for women wanting to create healthy, violence-free lives. The 14-week class is free. Topics include the cycle of violence, coping mechanisms, effects of abuse on children, and safety planning. The first class begins on Wednesday, April 10, from 2:30 until 5 p.m.
If you or someone you know is interested in the WEP class, contact Patricia Barrera, victim services program coordinator, firstname.lastname@example.org or call 503-655-8776.
