Planning Commission to take action Nov. 4 on proposed Clackamas County Transportation System Plan; Board hearings set for Dec. 4 and 11

The Clackamas County Planning Commission heard testimony from 24 people at an Oct. 28 public hearing on the County’s proposed new Transportation System Plan (TSP). The nine-member body will continue the meeting at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 4, to discuss and reach consensus on a recommendation to forward to the Board of County Commissioners.

The continued Planning Commission meeting will be held in the Development Services Building Auditorium, 150 Beavercreek Rd., Oregon City. Though the public testimony portion of the hearing is over, the public is welcome to attend,

The Board of County Commissioners will also hold public hearings on the TSP before taking final action by the end of December. Two public hearings, to be held in the fourth floor Board Room in the Public Services Building, 2051 Kaen Rd., Oregon City, are scheduled: 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 4 6 p.m., Wednesday, December 11

The public is encouraged to comment on the proposed TSP at one of the public hearings or by submitting comments in writing, no later than noon, December 11, to Senior Planner Martha Fritzie at or 150 Beavercreek Rd., Oregon City, OR, 97045.

The Planning Commission reviewed the TSP at two work sessions in September and October, which were open to the public. Open houses on the TSP were also held Oct. 14 and 28 to give the public an additional opportunity to learn about the proposed policies and projects that will guide transportation in unincorporated Clackamas County for the next 20 years.

Once adopted, the TSP will become part of the County’s Comprehensive Plan, and Zoning and Development Ordinance (ZDO). The draft text can be seen at More information is available on the project website at
