Springwater Corridor trail project to be completed in November; no public access
Clackamas County is currently working with Oregon Department and Transportation and a contractor to complete construction of the Springwater Trail – between Rugg Road and Dee Street in Boring.
The 2.25-mile project began last summer and has experienced some weather delays in recent weeks. The new estimated completion date is Nov. 25.
The work still needing to be done includes shoulder gravel, hydro-seeding, completion of drainage ditches, bridge railings, signing, striping, landscaping, intersection work and the installation of bollards.
The contactor will need closed access to the area in order to safely move personnel, equipment, supply trucks and construction vehicles along the length of the trail and complete the project within this new timeframe.
Therefore, the trail will remain closed to public access, including all organized hiking and cycling groups. Do not attempt to access the trail until the project is fully completed.
