Northwest Family Services (NWFS), a youth development and social service non-profit located in Milwaukie, is being recognized with the BRAG (Business Recycling Award Group) award from the Clackamas County Recycle-at-Work program.

BRAG recognizes businesses that recycle all relevant materials regularly, prevent waste with at least three ongoing activities, consistently buy recycled-content product, and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to sustainable operations.

The 30-year-old non-profit takes being green seriously and does what it can to be a good steward of the environment in several ways.

NWFS Executive Director Rose Fuller says, “While our focus is on child well-being and family stability, stewardship of resources and our environment is a critical piece of our overall strategic plan. We value our physical environment and incorporate practices that minimize our footprint on our precious environment.”
