Clackamas County is looking for people interested in serving on the county planning commission. Two vacancies need to be filled in the spring. All applications must be received by Friday, Feb. 14.
The nine-member commission of volunteer citizens reviews and advises the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) on quasi-judicial and legislative land-use issues.
Planning commission members are appointed to four-year terms by the BCC. They are chosen on the basis of their expertise, experience and/or education related to land use issues, and to represent different areas of the county.
The planning commission conducts its business through public hearings and work sessions usually scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of each month.
Meetings are held in the county’s Development Services Building in Oregon City.
