Recruitment open for two vacancies on the Clackamas County Planning Commission
Clackamas County is lookingfor people interested in serving on the county planning commission. Twovacancies need to be filled in the spring. All applications must be received byFriday, Feb. 14.
The nine-member commissionof volunteer citizens reviews and advises the Board of County Commissioners(BCC) on quasi-judicial and legislative land-use issues.
Planning commission membersare appointed to four-year terms by the BCC. They are chosen on the basis oftheir expertise, experience and/or education related to land use issues, and torepresent different areas of the county.
The planning commissionconducts its business through public hearings and work sessions usuallyscheduled at 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of each month.
Meetings are held in thecounty’s Development Services Building in Oregon City.
