Recruitment extended for Clackamas County Committee for Citizen Involvement
Clackamas County Commissioners are seeking volunteers interested in serving on the county’s Committee for Citizen Involvement (CCI). The purpose of the CCI is to help develop and implement citizen involvement programs and to evaluate the process being used for citizen involvement in land use planning.
Current projects of the CCI are to enhance its relationship with the county’s Community Planning Organizations (CPOs), assist in coordinating and attending several training opportunities per year, develop and disseminate resource materials, help coordinate and attend community leaders meetings, participate in the annual county fair and other projects.
The CCI meets monthly on the third Tuesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Development Services Building (DSB), located at 150 Beavercreek Road in Oregon City. Anyone interested in applying is encouraged to attend a meeting. Experience and participation in a CPO is helpful as a base of knowledge for committee work.
Interested individuals need to complete an application form and will be invited to interview with the committee and staff liaison.
To mail an application form, send it to Clackamas County Citizen Involvement,
2051 Kaen Road, Oregon City, OR 97045.
The application deadline has been extended to Thursday, Feb. 20.
