Clackamas County Aging Services Advisory Council recruits for vacancies

The Clackamas County Aging Services Advisory Council announces vacancies for individuals interested in serving the community.

The council meets the second Monday of the month from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Each member is encouraged to serve on one additional committee, including 1) the Adult Center Liaison committee, 2) the Joint Advocacy Committee or 3) Age Friendly Communities that include monthly 60- to 90-minute meetings.

The Adult Center Liaison committee meets at a different senior center in Clackamas County each month.

The Joint Advocacy Committee advocates for issues that are important to seniors. Members educate legislators and policy makers in writing, in person and over the phone.

Age Friendly Communities advocate for issues important to all age groups.

The application deadline is Thursday, April 29.
