County will host Community Festival Sept. 17

Clackamas County will host its 4th Annual Community Festival on Wednesday, September 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Red Soils campus in Oregon City.

Born out of the work of the Clackamas County Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council (DEIC), the festival connects members of the community with county employees and local organizations in order to foster the growing diversity of the region.

The festival will feature information booths hosted by local and regional nonprofits and county partner organizations, live music, performance, and local food trucks selling tasty lunchtime menu items.

It will be held outside in the courtyard between the Public Services and Development Services buildings: 2051 Kaen Road, Oregon City.

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. Admission is free.

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council is comprised of employees from a cross-section of county departments, charged to advise and support the county on improvements in its efforts to hire, train, and retain a diverse workforce and serve the wider community effectively. For more information, contact Emmett Wheatfall, Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, 503-655-8581.
