Clackamas County Vector Control Advisory Board is recruiting new members

The Clackamas County Commissioners are seeking volunteers interested in serving on the County Vector Control Board. Members of the board are appointed for four-year terms by the Commissioners and serve in an advisory capacity while acting as the policy-making body and managers of the business and financial affairs of the Clackamas County Vector Control District.

Vector Control is responsible for the control of mosquitoes and flies within the county. The Oregon State Health Department and the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife approve their annual control plan.

The five-member board meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 2:30 p.m. in the Vector Control District Office, at 1102 Abernethy Road in Oregon City.
