Sandy River area residents, property owners invited to Sept. 27 Flood of Information III to help prepare for winter

A Flood of Information III: Preparing for Winter on the Sandy River & Its Tributaries, is the theme of the third annual public workshop /open house hosted by Clackamas County, the Villages at Mt. Hood, the Sandy River Basin Watershed Council, the Hoodland Fire District and Water Environment Services on Saturday, September 27. The event will be held from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in the Lolo Pass Room at the Resort at the Mountain, 68010 E Fairway Ave., Welches.

People who attend this free event will have access to information and resources from local, regional and state agencies and organizations on a variety of topics, including:

Representatives from Clackamas County Planning and Zoning, and Emergency Management will share updated information and maps about the Sandy River's channel migration and Water Environment Services staff will discuss the WES Outfall Project.

The public is welcome to stop by any time between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., talk with agency representatives, gather information and register for prize drawings.
