Citizens with Forestry Background Needed for Advisory Board

Clackamas County Commissioners are recruiting citizen members for the Forest Advisory Board. The board participates actively in the planning of forest management activities for county-owned forestlands, oversees the Timber Sale Advisory Committee, reviews public input concerning the county’s Forest Management Plan and related activities.

Professional forestry education in a Society of American Foresters accredited institution is a desired qualification. Applicants for the Forest Advisory Board should be actively employed or recently retired from employment in the forest industry.

In order to meet advisory board policy requirements for balance and representation, Commissioners are seeking applicants from diverse backgrounds and disciplines including government, private industry, consulting forestry, forestry education and small woodland management.

Interested individuals need to complete an application form. Applications may be completed online via the county’s website at https://web3.clackamas.us/abc/application.jsp.
