Dog adoption fees on discount at Clackamas County until Jan. 6

Clackamas County Dog Services (CCDS) is offering discounts on dog adoptions starting tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 12, lasting until Tuesday, Jan. 6. Adoption fees for dogs six years of age or younger will be $25. Canines with ongoing medical needs, and all dogs seven years of age or older, will be available for an even lower adoption fee of $12.

These fees represents a savings of $61-$101 off of the regular prices for potential owners. Adoption hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the CCDS Animal Adoption and Education Center, 13141 SE Highway 212, Clackamas.

Adoption information can be found at so that interested parties can apply before visiting the shelter to speed up the adoption process.

CCDS provides a wide variety of dog services throughout Clackamas County including dog licensing; sick, injured and emergency dog rescue; pet protective custody; bite investigations; vicious or feral dog removal; quarantine of dogs that have bitten and are not rabies vaccinated; inspection of dog kennels; and spay/neuter services.
