Clackamas County to fill three open seats on Planning Commission; applications due Feb. 20

Clackamas County is looking for people interested in serving on the County Planning Commission beginning in spring 2015. There are three positions that will be filled this spring.

The nine-member commission, made up of volunteers, reviews and advises the Board of County Commissioners on quasi-judicial and legislative land use issues. Planning Commission members are appointed to four-year terms by the County Board. They are chosen on the basis of their expertise, experience and/or interest related to land use issues, and to represent different geographic locations around the County.

The Planning Commission conducts its business through public hearings and work sessions scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of every month. Meetings are held at the Clackamas County Development Services Building in Oregon City. Commission recommendations are made on the basis of requirements set forth in state law, the County Comprehensive Plan and County ordinances.
