Clackamas County seeks members for surface water budget, emergency medical services committees

Clackamas County Commissioners are seeking citizen volunteers to fill new vacancies on two different county Advisory Boards and Commissions (ABCs).

First, Water Environment Services, on behalf of the Surface Water Management Agency of Clackamas County (SWMACC), is seeking citizens to fill vacancies on its budget committee beginning in spring 2015. Three 3-year terms are available. The committee reviews the proposed fiscal year budget and any supplemental budgets, and recommends revisions to the commissioners. Committee members typically meet twice a year.

SWMACC provides surface water management services in the unincorporated areas of Clackamas County within the Tualatin River Watershed and the City of Rivergrove. Interested citizens who reside within the district’s boundaries are welcome to apply.

This application deadline has been extended from an earlier date. For more information contact Chanin Bays at 503-742-4566 or email cbays@clackamas.us.

Second, commissioners are seeking to fill two vacancies on the Emergency Medical Services Council. The council advises commissioners and the Department of Health, Housing and Human Services (H3S) in matters relating to emergency medical response and ambulance services.

Current vacant positions should be filled by one county hospital emergency physician and one representative from a governmental agency that provides ambulance services.

The Council is comprised of eleven members representing all areas of emergency medical response. The terms of these two open positions end on March 31, 2018.

This application deadline has been extended from an earlier date. For more information contact Larry MacDaniels at 503-655-8256 or larrymac@clackamas.us.

Apply for any of the vacancies listed above by March 5 by filling out the corresponding online form at https://web3.clackamas.us/abc/application.jsp or a paper form that can be obtained from the Public & Government Affairs department by calling 503-655-8751 or secured in person at the Public Services Building at 2051 Kaen Road in Oregon City.
