County launches its first Citizen Academy

Clackamas County is initiating a brand new program: the Clackamas County Citizen Academy. It is a six-month long training course designed to educate citizens about Clackamas County government and its services.

Twenty openings are available and the county will seek to select applicants from a range of geographic areas as well as interests in county programs and services.

The first session will be held Wednesday, April 22 from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., and monthly until September 2015.

Each month the Citizen Academy will feature information from different county departments and include presentations, group discussions, and a tour of a county facility.
