Clackamas County Commissioners are seeking four residents to serve on the county Library Board of Trustees and represent the Oak Lodge area.

Clackamas County operates two libraries with locations in Clackamas (Sunnyside) and Oak Grove (Oak Lodge), but the former will be overseen by the city of Happy Valley beginning in July.

The board meets at 5:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month. The county is seeking applicants who are willing to provide a leadership role in their communities to promote library services and activities. The terms of the four open positions are staggered and will expire between July 1, 2017 and July 1, 2019.

The application deadline is 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27. Selected applicants must be available for 15-minute individual interviews on the evening of Tuesday, June 9. Interested individuals can apply online at, or via a paper form that can be obtained from the Public and Government Affairs department by calling 503-655-8751 or in person at the Public Services Building at 2051 Kaen Road in Oregon City. Paper forms may also be obtained from the Oak Lodge Library at 16201 SE McLoughlin Blvd. in Oak Grove.
