Clackamas County Commissioner Schrader named to NACo International Economic Development Task Force

The National Association of Counties (NACo) has appointed Clackamas County Commissioner Martha Schrader to its International Economic Development Task Force. This position is part of the NACo leadership team.

NACo is a national organization representing county governments. The International Economic Development Task Force facilitates the exchange of information, ideas and resources, and guides NACo programming, concerning county-level engagement in international economic development activities. More on NACo and the task force can be found at http://www.naco.org/resources/programs-and-initiatives/international-economic-development-task-force.

Commissioner Schrader has identified promoting economic development for the county and region as a priority. She also serves on NACo’s Rural Action Caucus and as Vice Chair of the NACo Economic Development Subcommittee.

This announcement coincides with National County Government Month, when Clackamas County is increasing public awareness of many projects aimed at keeping its communities safe, residents healthy, roads strong, water clean, and region attractive for residents and businesses. The county promoted some of its efforts last week by publicly releasing an infographic available at http://www.clackamas.us/pga/images/ccinfographic.jpg.
