Clackamas County Business and Economic Development will host the fourth annual Clackamas Export and Global Trade Summit on Wednesday, May 20 at the Abernethy Center in Oregon City from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Seating is limited and reservations are required by May 18. A complimentary buffet breakfast will be served.

The summit will showcase the following speakers during a plenary session: Derrick Olsen, Greater Portland Inc.; Scott Goddin, Portland U.S. Export Assistance Center; Michael Bondi, Oregon State University (OSU) Extension Service and Research Center; Jose Behar, Electric Entertainment; and John Ducharme, Warn Industries.

During breakout sessions with local experts, summit attendees will learn about tools and resources that can support export activity. Session topics include identifying and selecting international markets and partners, supporting businesses that export in your community, and licensing your exports.

"If you are an exporter, or a business wanting to export, don't miss this opportunity to hear from experts in the exporting field as well as businesses that will offer practical advice," said Clackamas County Business and Economic Development Manager Catherine Comer.

The Abernethy Center is located at 606 15th St. in Oregon City.

To register for the summit, or for more information, members of the public or media may contact Business and Economic Development Coordinator Cindy Hagen at or (503) 742-4328.
