Fun and games for dogs and their owners June 14 at Clackamas County’s Dog Sports Demo Day

Games and sports for dogs and their owners will be the highlight of the third annual Dog Sports Demo Day, planned for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 14. For $5, participants will learn new games to play with their dogs, talk with experts and practice with their dogs.

The event will be held at the Clackamas County Dog Services Animal Adoption and Education Center at 13141 SE Highway 212 in Clackamas. There will be a demonstration of each sport every 1½ to 2 hours, and then owners and dogs will get a chance to play.

Clackamas County Dog Services provides a wide variety of services for county residents including dog licensing; sick, injured and emergency dog rescue; pet protective custody; bite investigations; quarantine of dogs that have bitten and are not rabies vaccinated; inspection of dog kennels; and low-cost spay/neuter and vaccine services.
