'Kayak with a Commissioner' provides a chance to talk about Willamette Falls with Schrader on Aug. 7

In a special event, Clackamas County Commissioner Martha Schrader is partnering up with local business eNRG Kayaking to host “Kayak with a Commissioner,” the latest in a series where commissioners meet with members of the public to talk about pressing local issues.

This event will give participants a chance to speak with Schrader about numerous topical issues involving the Willamette Falls area, including the state of the Willamette Falls Legacy Project, potential reopening of the Willamette Falls Locks, and recent state heritage area designation.

Through eNRG Kayaking, this event is centered around a 90-minute kayak tour of Willamette Falls that begins at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, at the docks of eNRG Kayaking in Sportcraft Moorage, 1701 Clackamette Drive in Oregon City. More on this particular tour can be found at

The tour costs $48 to participate in ($20 if you have your own kayak and equipment). The $48 price represents a 20 percent discount from the normal price. Space is limited.
