Foster Road paving night work set for July 31, Aug. 10-11

Clackamas County is resurfacing Foster Road from the Clackamas/Multnomah county line to Highway 212, and portions of adjacent roadways, through the end of August.

While most of the construction is during the day, nighttime paving on Foster Road is also scheduled from 6 p.m. on Friday, July 31, to 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1. The traffic signal at Foster Road and Highway 212 will be turned off and replaced by flaggers from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. that night.

In addition to daytime work, there will also be striping work performed the nights of Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 10 and 11.

The nighttime work is being done to increase safety for travelers and road workers, and to save money by completing the project in a shorter timeframe.

In addition to adding a new overlay to Foster Road, the following three roads are being reconstructed with a cement-treated base and paved with asphalt between 172nd Avenue and Foster Road:

Daytime construction is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturday work scheduled as needed. There may be delays in the area throughout the project. Travelers are encouraged to use other routes whenever possible.
