Cooling centers open in Clackamas County

As high temperatures have again hit our region, Clackamas County officials have identified multiple cooling centers throughout the county for members of the public. Residents who do not have access to cool places are encouraged to visit a center to avoid the heat and relax. A list of centers can be found below.

The county would also like to remind residents that plan to be outdoors to take precautions and protect themselves and others from sun exposure and the heat. Tips include:

Symptoms of dehydration and heat cramps include dizziness, fatigue, faintness, headaches, rapid heartbeat, muscle cramps and increased thirst. Anyone experiencing these symptoms should seek immediate medical attention or call 911.

Clackamas Service Center

Open to the public on Friday from 2-7 p.m. and Saturday from 4:30-9:30 p.m. Sunday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Meals and other services available.

Damascus Community Church

Open to the public Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. when temperatures reach 90 degrees, and on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Estacada Community Center

Open to the public Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Lake Oswego Adult Community Center

Molalla Adult Community Center

Wilsonville Public Library Cooling Center
8200 SW Wilsonville Road, Wilsonville 97070
Open to the public from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday). The library will stay open until 9 p.m. if temperatures reach 100 degrees on Saturday or Sunday, with normal closing hours being 6 p.m.

Winfield Village
8170 SW Vlahos Drive, Wilsonville 97070
The Fireside Room is open to the general public seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. when temperatures reach 90 degrees. Water is available.
