County now accepting applications for the 2016 Citizen Academy

Clackamas County is now accepting applications from citizens interested in participating in the second Clackamas County Citizen Academy. The Academy is a seven-month long training course designed to educate and engage county residents about Clackamas County government and services. There are 25 openings available and the county will select applicants from a range of geographic areas as well as interests in county programs and services.

The first session will be held Wednesday, April 20 from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., and monthly until October 2016. Each month the Citizen Academy will feature information from different county departments and include presentations, group discussions, and a tour of a county facility. Additional sessions may be added during the summer months, when larger county departments and agencies are discussed.
