3 finalists considered for vacant commissioner seat

Three finalists have been selected for further consideration to fill the open seat on the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners. The open seat, Position #5, was held by Jim Bernard who became Clackamas County Chair in early January.

The three remaining candidates are:

Seventy-eight candidates applied for the vacancy during an application process that closed Jan. 3. Eight candidates were selected for public interviews that were held last Wednesday, Jan. 25. Watch the interviews.

Commissioners discussed finalists at a Policy Session held earlier today. Listen to the session.

Commissioners will hold private, one-on-one interviews with the finalists. The person ultimately selected for the position will complete the remaining term of Position #5, which runs through December 2018. The position, as all board seats are, is nonpartisan.
