County accepting applications for 2017 Citizen Academy

Clackamas County is now accepting applications from residents for its third Citizen Academy. The academy is a six-month long series of classes designed to educate residents about county government and services.

Each month the Citizen Academy will feature information from different county departments and include presentations, group discussions, and a tour of a county facility.

Sessions are held on the third Wednesday of each month from April through September. The first session is Wednesday, April 19, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

There are 25 openings available. Applicants from a range of geographic areas are sought, and an interest in county programs and services is desired.
